Citizen killed by armed gang in Taiz

TAIZ, May 20 (YPA) – An armed gang killed a Qat seller in downtown Taiz, which is under the control of Islah party forces, Yemen News portal reported, citing local sources.

According to the local source, gang members on a motorbike fired at Dhaya Al-Mekhlafi, a qat seller in Al-Walid market in Tahrir area , the city center, which is experiencing security chaos.

The militants are members of an armed gang that is blackmailing traders, citizens and vendors, the sources said.

Armed gangs backed by military leaders of the Islah party are deployed in Taiz, the sources added.
