U.S. fighter jets arrive at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia

SANAA, May 13 (YPA) – The US Air Force Central Command announced on Thursday several of the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets arrived at the Prince Sultan Base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“This move comes to enhance the ability of the American forces to deter aggression and to enhance security and stability in the region,” the Central Command said in a statement.

It added, “This confirms the readiness of the US military to deploy its forces and employ them anywhere around the world.”

Meanwhile, General Greg Gilot, Commander of the Central Air Force, said that these operations would raise the efficiency of transferring combat capability to the theater of operations in a timely manner.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia had announced the US military reinforcements aim to maintain regional security and confront any attempts that threaten stability in the region.
