STC militias regain strategic areas in Abyan

ABYAN, April 14 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias on Wednesday  took control of over the  coastline in Ahwar directorate in the southern Yemeni province of Abyan, after they launched a counterattack on Hadi’s forces, who had taken control of the area for days.

Local sources said the STC, backed by tribal militants, have regained control of the Area of Khabar al-Marraqasha  the international coastal line in Ahwar.

The STC has called on its militants  to lift readiness to face the movements of Hadi and Islah party forces in Abyan and Lahj.
