SANAA, April 7 (YPA) – A report by the American “New York Times” newspaper, quoting an American official, stated that “Israel” had informed the United States that it was the one who attacked the Iranian ship “Saviz”.
The official, who preferred not to be named, said that Israel informed the United States that its forces bombed the Iranian ship stationed in the Red Sea, around 7:30 a.m. local time.
The American official pointed out, “The Israelis described the attack as a retaliatory response to previous Iranian strikes on Israeli ships, and that” Saviz “had been damaged under the water line.
Israeli officials did not comment, until Tuesday evening, and rarely confirm or deny responsibility for the actions they are taking against Iran, according to the report.
This attack comes in light of news of progress on the first day of talks to revive US participation in the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and major world powers.
