Human rights org: Saudi Arabia uses counterterrorism as cover for repression

BERLIN, March 13 (YPA) – The European-Saudi Organization for Human Rights said on Saturday that the Saudi authorities are using combating terrorism as a cover for systematic repression.

The human rights organization confirmed that the Saudi authorities “practice systematic and severe repression against human rights defenders and pursue them because of their work and activities.”

“These authorities are using bad laws such as the anti-terrorism system and the system for combating information crimes against them,” the organization said in response to the Saudi authorities’ denial of practicing violations against human rights defenders.
