ADEN, Feb. 27 (YPA) – A local official in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, which is controlled by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia, has submitted his resignation.
Head of the local council in Al-Buraiqa district, Yunus Mohammed Suleiman, attributed his resignation from his post due to the difficulty of the right to make a decision, and the insecurity in the city.
Suleiman referred to a number of reasons that pushed him to resign, including the scarcity of resources and the lack of operating expenses.
He noted in his resignation that he was surprised by a very difficult legacy in the administrative aspects, with the collapse of services.
In mid-February, an explosive device exploded near Suleiman’s home.
