Mosque’s imam assassinated in Abyan

ABYAN, Feb. 25 (YPA) – Imam of a mosque was assassinated on Thursday by unidentified gunmen in Mudiyah city of Abyan province, southern Yemen.

According to local sources in the city, gunmen shot the imam of the so-called “Sunnah” mosque, Hafedh Ba’azab, and killed him on the spot, without giving any reasons.

This comes as a continuation of the series of assassinations targeting imams of mosques in Aden and the rest of the southern provinces, located under the control of Saudi-led coalition.
