Dozens of Israeli officers arrive in Socotra

SOCOTRA, Feb. 1 (YPA) – Dozens of Israeli officers and soldiers have arrived on Monday at the archipelago of Socotra of Yemen, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The sources said that the Emirati planes transported at dawn today, 28 Israeli soldiers and officers, with their equipment, to the Island.

The move is the second path to transport Israeli soldiers by UAE planes to the island of Socotra, pointing out that the Emirati plane is bringing in Israeli soldiers during the absence of airport’s employees.

The sources confirmed that UAE helicopters transported the Israeli soldiers and officers to Samha Island.

The UAE has worked during the past years to establish camps under the supervision of the Israeli entity on the island of Socotra.
