STC turns Community College in Dhalea into military barracks

DHALEA, Jan. 27 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias turned the Community College in Dhalea province, southern Yemen, into a military barracks after the educational process was halted, local sources said on Wednesday.

The community college and vocational and technical institute in the province were turned into military headquarters the command of the so-called 1st Brigade Thunderbolt in the STC, the sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources added that all students of the Community College and vocational and technical institute were marginalized and suspended their studies more than three months ago after the transitional forces refused to leave it.

Dozens of students denounced the actions of the STC militias in  the province, in particular and the southern provinces in general, stressing that colleges and institutes were built for education, not for military parades.
