YPC’s employees continue protest in front of UN office in Sanaa

SANAA, Jan. 15 (YPA) – Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) has on Friday, organized a protest in front of the United Nations office in Sanaa to demand the release all ships laden with oil derivatives being held by the US-Saudi aggression.

The company’s employees, confirmed their continuation of the open sit-in protest in front of the UN Headquarters until all the demands of the protesters are met.

A statement issued by the protesters, denounced the irresponsible performance of the UN envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths, his clear bias on the side of the coalition countries and their mercenaries,  as he deviated from his mission and turned to be a party involved in the siege and killing of the Yemeni people.

The statement called on the United Nations to fulfil its human rights mission and to carry out its tasks in Yemen, by putting more pressure on the Saudi-led coalition to release all detained oil vessels, stop aggression and lift the blockade.

It reiterated the demand for lifting the embargo on Sanaa International Airport and Ras Issa facilities, and for protecting the Yemeni Petroleum company, its facilities, stations and its agents from targeting by the enemy.
