Mahrah sit-in committee: Return of Abdullah bin Afarar to Socotra is to legalize UAE occupation

MAHRAH, Jan. 15 (YPA) – A leader in the committee of peaceful sit-in against the presence of Saudi and Emirati forces in Mahrah commented on the return of “Abdullah bin Afarar “, former president to lead the General Council of Mahrah’s sons to the Socotra archipelago, which is under the control of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias .

” The one who gives up his history and his ancestors in order to be one of the UAE occupation tools in in the Socotra archipelago , doesn’t represent us,” said Hamid Zabenot, chairman of the sit-in committee in the Shahin district in a tweet.

He noted that the aim of Abdullah bin Afara’rs return to Socotra is to empower the UAE and legalize its presence on the island.

It is worth mentioning that the sons of Mahrah and Socotra removed  “Abdullah bin Afara” after they accused him of working for Saudi Arabia and the UAE occupation last month.
