France calls for immediate steps to deal with humanitarian situation in Yemen

SANAA, May 24 (YPA) – French Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Agnès Von der Mühll called for “immediate steps to deal with the humanitarian situation in Yemen, in parallel with efforts for a political solution.”

The United Nations considers the Yemeni crisis as one of the worst crisis in the world and has classified Yemen on the list of four pre-famine countries with 8.4 million people suffering from acute food shortages.

She said that “French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman agreed to organize a joint conference on the humanitarian situation in Yemen in coordination with the United Nations and the main countries involved in this conflict in addition to non-governmental organizations working in Yemen.
