Biden: US President is not above law

SANAA, Jun. 10 (YPA) – US President-elect Joe Biden confirmed, on Saturday evening, that the President of the United States is not above the law, referring to outgoing President Donald Trump.
In his Twitter, Biden wrote that: “Our president is not above the law, and justice is to serve the people and not to protect the powerful.”
This comes as Democrats in the US House of Representatives intend to submit legislation to hold Trump accountable on Monday against the backdrop of the events of the congressional storming.
Democratic Representative Ted Liu said in a tweet on Saturday evening that there were 180 backers of one-article legislation to impeach Trump.
He explained that this comes in the wake of the riots that were carried out by Trump supporters inside the Congress building.
On Wednesday, the United States witnessed a storming, rioting and sabotage of the US Congress by supporters of Donald Trump, rejecting the results of the presidential elections and trying to prevent the victory of his Democratic rival, Joe Biden.
