Parliament stresses importance of preparing strategic visions

SANAA, Jan. 9 (YPA) – The Speaker of Parliament, Yahya Ali al-Rai, stressed on Saturday the importance of strategic planning in papering national visions and plans for economic and development recovery of Yemen.

The Speaker pointed to the importance of the parliament’s role in the legislative and supervisory fields through its permanent and specialized committees in following up the implementation of the national vision.

This came during his opening of the workshop to identify the stages of preparing the national vision and the importance of strategic planning, organized by the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives in cooperation with the Central Bureau of Statistics.

The workshop discussed a number of aspects related to preparing a vision as a national strategic plan to enhance steadfastness in the face of the Saudi-led coalition and its tools within the framework of comprehensive planning and directed performance.

It also dealt with the conditions that Yemen is going through, which calls for restoring the path and achieving economic and development recovery that lead to building modern institutions and radical change in all aspects of life.
