TAIZ, Jan. 9 (YPA) – At least two militants were killed and three others were wounded in the clashes that broke out between Islah factions in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen.
This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on local sources on Saturday.
According to the sources, the clashes broke two days ago in Wadi Al-Burkani, between the leaders of local factions due to a collection dispute between a leader, Fahad al-Burkani and another Abdul Jabbar al-Burkani.
The sources pointed out that tribal mediation was able Friday to calm the two sides, but the fighting intensified by feeding political parties to the conflict on Saturday morning .
The Islah party seeks to weaken Sultan al-Burkani, the speaker of Hadi parliament and the party’s main opponents in the city by moving the confrontations to his hometown.
