NMC announces continuation of cold weather during next 24 hours

SANAA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center announced on Thursday continuation of cold weather on mountainous provinces and desert areas during the next 24 hours.

The center called for the necessity to take the necessary precautions against the effects of severe cold during the next 24 hours.

In weather forecast, the weather will be cold on highlands of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea and Marib provinces.

It will be relatively cold at heights of Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout provinces and desert regions during night and early morning hours.

The center warned citizens in that provinces especially elderly, children, sick people and workers during the night and early morning hours from cold weather, calling on them to wearing winter clothes and protecting agricultural crops and beehives.

It warned fishermen and sea goers south of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab of strong winds and high waves.
