Russian Scientific Center expects end of Corona epidemic next year

SANAA, Nov. 30 (YPA) – The director of the Russian Victor Scientific Center, Rinat Maxiotov, said that the coming year may witness the end of the epidemic, and she explained that this does not mark the end of the Corona virus, which will continue.
The director of the “Victor” center, which produced the “Epivac Corona” vaccine, the second of its kind in Russia, said that the number of virus infections increases every day, and the epidemic will end as soon as “herd immunity” is established, noting that this requires vaccination of half the population.
She stressed that the end of the epidemic does not mean the end of the virus.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 564,000 cases of the virus were recorded, and 8,985 people died around the world during the past day.
According to the latest figures and statistics issued by “Johns Hopkins University”, on Monday, the death toll from Corona infections around the world has risen to 62.6 million, and since the outbreak of the epidemic began, more than one million and 458 thousand people have died.
