Military rebellion foreshadows bloody conflict in ranks of coalition in Jawf

JAWF, Oct. 10 (YPA) – A sharp dispute arose between ‘Saghir bin Aziz’, chief of staff of Hadi’s forces, and Major General Amin Al-Okaimi, governor of Jawf province and commander of Hadi’s forces loyal to Saudi-led coalition in the so-called “Jawf Axis'”, sources reported on Sunday.

According to the sources, the reason for the disagreement stems from the change of commanders of the battles in the border between the provinces of Jawf and Marib, and pulling the rug out from under Al-Okaimi’s feet.

Sheikh Hamad Al-Shabwani, one of the leaders of Abida tribe loyal to the coalition, revealed in a post on “Facebook” that Brigadier General Saeed Al-Na’ami, commander of the so-called “Al-Hashd brigades”, has denounced Al-Okaimi’s incitement and wrong mobilization by against Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz.

Al-Shabwani added that Al-Na’ami sent a letter to commanders and recruits of ‘Jawf and Al-Yatama Axis’, in which he confirmed that refusing orders is a crime “punishable by law.”

He pointed out that many military commanders in the coalition forces in “Jawf Axis” commented on Al-Na’ami’s message by saying “We understand from the statement that friendly fire was a punishment for refusing the directives, and that Saghir is a traitor and Al-Okaimi’s words are correct.”

It should be noted that “Al-Hashd Brigades” is the alternate name for the “Marib elite force” that the UAE previously failed to form as anti-Islah Party force in Marib, and is formed from individuals and leaders who are in conflict with Islah party.
