Saudi attacks kill 3 civilians, injure 13 across Yemen

SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – At least three civilians were killed and 13 others injured in Saudi airstrikes on several Yemeni provinces and artillery shelling in northern border areas on Friday, The Yemeni Ministry of Health spokesperson, Anis al- Asbahi,  said.

In statements posted on his X account, Al-Asbahi said Saudi warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on a civilian’s home in the Marhabah area of Nihm district, killing three members of one family and injuring nine others, including children. This was also reported by Sanaa-based the Saba news agency.

Al-Asbahi said attacks on civilian homes and property were a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and called for international investigations and accountability.

Separately, three civilians were injured in a Saudi airstrike on the Al-Zaaza area of Al-Shamayatayn district in Taiz province, Al-Asbahi said.

Another civilian was injured in artillery shelling by Saudi border guards targeting the Afrah area in Munabbih district, Saada province, in northwestern Yemen, he added.
