Kuwait’s political Forces issue statement condemning Trump’s remarks about normalization with Israel
SANAA, Sept. 20 (YPA) – The political forces in Kuwait condemned the statements of US President Donald Trump, in which he expected the approach of Kuwait’s accession to normalization agreement with the Israeli occupation, affirming its total rejection and condemnation of this statement.
“The government and people of Kuwait refuse to recognize their honorable history and their well-established positions to deny their values and constants in support of the Arab-Palestinian right since the outbreak of the Arab-Zionist conflict and throughout all stages,” the Kuwaiti political forces said in a statement.
“Kuwait will not forget the blood of the martyrs, the sufferings of mothers, children, prisoners and the wounded, and the sacrifices of generations throughout the decades of Zionist oppression and aggression against Palestine and Al-Quds al-Sharif,” the statement added.
In its statement, the political forces called on the Kuwaiti National Assembly to “give a law criminalizing normalization with the Zionist entity as a matter of urgency, as well as to protect Kuwait from blackmailing and the expected pressures ahead.”
Political forces, individuals, groups and civil society forces in the country have also urged to take effective actions to pass this law to provide solid public protection for the government’s official decision against this humiliating normalization.
On Friday, US President Trump predicted that Kuwait and about seven countries would join the convoy of countries that would be printed with the occupying entity.
“I met Prince Nasser Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti delegation. They showed enthusiasm for signing the peace agreement and I think they will join it quickly,” Trump said.
