More than 33,000 new coronavirus cases reported in Brazil

SANAA, Sept. 13 (YPA) – Brazil’s Ministry of Health announced Sunday 33,523 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 814 deaths in the past 24 hours have been reported.

According to ministry data, Brazil has so far recorded 4,315,687 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, while the official death toll has reached 131,210.

The number of people recovering from the disease has exceeded 3.5 million, the ministry said.

Brazil is the most affected country in the world after the United States in terms of the total number of deaths.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified the new Coronavirus (COVId-19), which appeared in China late last year, as a global epidemic.
