Gaza Strip curfew continues for 12th consecutive day

SANAA, Sept. 5 (YPA) – For the twelfth day in a row, the curfew decision continues in the governorates of the Gaza Strip in occupied Palestine, to limit the spread of the new Corona virus.
The decision came into effect on Tuesday, 25 August, after the discovery of Covid-19 infections in the community in the Gaza Strip, while the daily rate of HIV infections has been gradually increasing since then.
In its latest statistics regarding the epidemiological situation, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday morning that 116 new cases of the emerging corona virus “Covid 19” had been recorded in the Strip, during the past 24 hours.
The ministry stated in the summary of the daily report on Coronavirus, that the cumulative total of those infected since last March reached 697 infections, of which 603 were active cases (577 from the community and 26 from returnees).
She indicated that the number of deaths reached 5 cases (4 from within the community and 1 from the returnees), while the statistics of those recovering from the Corona virus in the Gaza Strip reached 89 cases, after 13 cases of recovery were recorded.
