Hadhramout leadership bans demonstrations, gatherings

HADHRAMOUT, Aug. 30 (YPA) – Authorities in the occupied Hadhramaut province banned gatherings, demonstrations and vigils, explaining the reason for the ban for the seek of   safety of citizens.

The move came asa  proactive step to block the entry point for outlaws to implement their plans and to exploit the freedom of expression guaranteed by the law to implement those plans and harm citizens, in a reference to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional council.

It comes in light of the crisis situation in the occupied Yemeni provinces and the signs of confrontation that are beginning to show signs between Hadi’s forces and the al-Islah militants on the one hand, and the militants of the so-called STC on several fronts

According to Observers, the Hadi governor of Hadhramaut, who is affiliated with Hadi, feared of  repeating the scenario of “Socotra”, in which the STC used these demonstrations as part of its plan to overthrow the island last June in conjunction with its  armed attack on the island, especially with the STC  heads towards escalation in the occupied provinces, after suspending its participation in the Riyadh negotiations.

Hadhramaut province last week witnessed massive chaos and clashes between transitional supporters and demonstrators who turned out in support of the so-called legitimacy.
