China’s Embassy in London: Britain distorts Beijing’s diplomatic efforts

SANAA, Aug. 30 (YPA) – British politicians are suing the facts to undermine bilateral relations with Beijing, the Chinese embassy in London said, in response to fresh accusations that China is pursuing an aggressive diplomatic strategy.

A spokesman for the embassy said Beijing had increased its diplomatic presence in Britain by nearly a quarter in the past 10 years in an effort to boost its political influence.

“Some politicians and institutions deliberately  distort normal exchange and cooperation between the two countries or even shout for the so-called new Cold War against China,” the spokesman said in a statement posted on the embassy’s official website.

He added that Chinese diplomats in Britain were “acting as a bridge” between the two countries and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation” and that they deserved a fair assessment “rather than distortion and accusation.”

In response to the accusation that Beijing was using the Coronavirus pandemic to continue its hostile diplomatic agenda known as the “warrior wolf,” the spokesman said Chinese diplomats had the task of telling the true story “in the face of misinterpretation, misunderstanding and even deliberate slander.”

“Wolf Warrior” diplomacy is the name given to china’s foreign representatives’ approach to international relations, with many now using social media to respond to international criticism.
