India records about 700 thousand cases of corona

SANAA, July 6 (YPA) – The Indian Ministry of Health announced on Monday that India recorded about 700 thousand cases of the emerging coronavirus, outperforming Russia as the third largest country in the world in the number of cases of coronavirus.

The Indian Health Ministry said that more than 23 thousand new cases of infection were recorded during the past twenty-four hours, a slight retreat from the record increase recorded on Sunday, which amounted to about 25 thousand cases.

About 20,000 deaths have been recorded in India since the first cases were discovered there in January.
