Iran reveals new meeting with US Envoy, outlines conditions to reopen Strait of Hormuz

TEHRAN, Sept. 23 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Iranian state television reported, citing an exclusive source.

According to the source, the meeting was held following persistent requests from the US envoy. Tehran agreed to the session specifically to convey its core conditions for reopening the strategic Strait of Hormuz, alongside other critical issues.

The source stated that Iran’s conditions to reopen the waterway include an immediate end to the naval blockade, the prompt release of all frozen Iranian assets, and an immediate cessation of military operations across all fronts of the resistance.
