Shura Council condemns coalition’s strikes escalation on capital, Sanaa

SANAA, July 2 (YPA) – The Shura Council condemned on Thursday the intensification of the Saudi-led aggression coalition for its air strikes on the capital, Sanaa, and a number of provinces, and its continued targeting of civilians, service and public facilities.

The council declared in a statement that the raids confirm the continuation in targeting the Yemeni people and destroying their capabilities and all elements of life, and in defiance of all religious values and international and humanitarian laws.

The council confirmed that these crimes are inconsistent with the efforts made by the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to stop the aggression, as well as contradict the coalition allegations of a cease-fire declared by Saudi Arabia.

The statement also confirmed that these crimes will only increase the Yemeni people with steadfastness and oppression in the face of the aggression, which has become increasingly systematic with its crimes committed against the Yemeni people.

The Shura Council called on the Yemeni people to unify the internal ranks, join hands and show the highest degree of vigilance and awareness to confront the Saudi-led aggression.
