Dozens of people in Hadramout protest against power outage

HADRAMOUT, June 29 (YPA) – An angry protest rally was staged on Monday by dozens of people in Yemen’s southern province of Hadramout to condemn the power outage and rising heat wave, according to source.

At the rally, the protesters cut off a number of main streets and roads in the city of Mukalla and burned tyres, demanding the local authority to improve the security and health services in the province.

Hadramout governorate has witnessed the repeated power outage, in conjunction with a rise in temperatures and the significant deterioration of health and security services due to , the escalation of the oil derivatives crisis in southern Yemen.
