TAIZ, June 13 (YPA) – A citizen was killed and another was injured on Saturday in armed clashes in the coastal city of Mocha in Taiz province, southwest Yemen.
The armed clashes erupted between militants loyal to the UAE-backed mercenary commander Tariq Affash and recruits of the so-called “Tihama brigades” affiliated with Islah Party in the city because of levies imposed on Qat sellers, according to sources in the city.
The sources explained that the citizen Abdo bin Abdo Falaq was killed while he was sleeping in front of a popular restaurant in the city, searching for air, due to power outages, and the citizen Saeed Numan Abdo was injured by a live bullet fired from the fighters weapons.
The dead’s body and the wounded person were transferred to the MSF hospital, the source added.
