11 dead cattle seized coming from Hodeidah for selling their meat in Sanaa

SANAA, June 13 (YPA) – A truck carrying 11 heads of dead cattle covered with hay was seized on Saturday at al-Subaha crossing while coming from Hodeidah province with the intention of slaughtering them and selling their meat in the capital Sanaa.

Mayor of the capital, Hamoud Obad, praised the seizure process, directing the veterinary quarantine points at all entrances to the capital to tighten control and inspection of the livestock coming to the capital and to ensure that they are conform with health conditions.

Obad called on citizens not to buy any meat that is not sealed by the official seal of the slaughterhouse office and the meat market in the capital for the sake of their health.
