FM meets acting director of ACTED’s office in Yemen

SANAA, May 18 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Monday met with Director of French ACTED Organization office, Robert Simpson.

The meeting dealt with the organization’s activities and the importance of intensifying humanitarian efforts to contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens due to the aggression and its worsening humanitarian repercussions, on top of which is the pandemic of Covid 19.

Minister Sharaf called ACTED to double the provision of necessary services and aid, including medical supplies and tools to confront the Corona virus and support the health sector and its infrastructure to cope with this pandemic.

For his part, Simpson praised the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in facilitating the tasks of an organization in Yemen, stressing the organization’s commitment to redoubling efforts to serve the Yemeni citizen and contribute to alleviating his suffering.
