To maintain its progress in Abyan, STC asks reinforcements from Lahj tribes

ABYAN, May 17 (YPA) – Leaders of the so-called Southern Transitional Council (STC) loyal to the UAE called on tribesmen in Lahj province to reinforce its fighters in Abyan province, sources reported on Saturday.

The sources pointed out that the STC militia mobilized large forces in al-Mosaymeer district to support the fronts of Abyan province, in a step that had not been previously implemented, after the flight of dozens of the fighters, who were in the ranks of the STC.

The STC’s call for Lahj tribes to provide them with reinforcements in order to preserve their progress in Abyan comes after their controlled the strategic sites of the most important Islah party camp in the coastal city of Shoqra.
