Earthquake hits the Jordanian Araba Valley

SANAA, May 6 (YPA) – The Jordanian Seismological Observatory / Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recorded on Wednesday a tremor measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale, which struck the Wadi Araba region at 3:56 a.m. today.
According to the observatory data, the tremor occurred 45 km west of the city of Tafilah, at a depth of one kilometer.
On April 10, the observatory recorded an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale, and occurred in Wadi Araba, 30 km west of the city of Tafilah and 20 km south of the Dead Sea, at a depth of 21 km.
