Recruit in Marib severely beaten, tortured by Islah militias

MARIB, April 19 (YPA) – Militants of Islah party committed a heinous crime in Marib against a recruit from the southern provinces, eastern Yemen.

Activists from the southern provinces on Sunday circulated a photo showing soldier Abbas al-Taheri, a resident of Abyan province, handcuffed with his blood, to a military pickup, after being beaten and tortured.

The activists confirmed that Al-Taheri was severely beaten with rifle butts by the escorts of one of the committees for the payment of salaries of coalition soldiers in Marib

He was severely beaten after he objected the deduction of his salary without any justification.

They explained that this crime represents one aspect of the terrorism practiced by al-Islah militias in Marib province.

The crime was met with angry reactions from social media activists, as it is a flagrant violation against  humanity.
