TEHRAN, April 18 (YPA) – The Iranian army received on Saturday combat and multirole drone aircraft, in the presence of the Minister of Defense Brigadier Amir Hatami.
“These aircraft have been prepared by using the capabilities of defense industries, country universities and knowledge-based companies and they have important advantages,” Brigadier Hatami said, at the handover ceremony of combat aircraft, according to the Iranian” Mehr “agency.
He indicated that “the army received today three drones of the Karrar and Ababil 3 types and the multi-functional Jet plane.”
“These aircraft will cover an important part of the two forces’ air and air defense missions and can be used to disguise hostile air defense systems, and can also be used to reconnaissance and monitor enemy movements in border areas,” Hatami explained.
These drones can carry types of bombs and missiles and carry out combat missions, he added. “Among their characteristics is high flight to 40 to 45 thousand feet, and they also fly long distances up to 1500 km, and this helps to enhance the security of the country and carry out defensive tasks stronger and faster.”
