Palestinian fishermen wounded by Zionist enemy naval forces in northern Gaza
SANAA, April 9 (YPA) – Two Palestinian fishermen were injured on Thursday as a result of an assault by the Zionist enemy navy, while carrying out their activities in the sea in the northern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources reported that Palestinian fishermen were wounded with metal bullets while being chased by enemy boats.
The Zionist enemy forces continue to attack fishermen at sea on a daily basis to prevent them from fishing in light of the narrow fishing spaces.
The fishing profession employs approximately 4 thousand Palestinian fishermen, in addition to the 1500 workers associated with the fishing profession, supporting nearly 60 thousand people, most of whom are below the poverty line because of the occupation measures against them.
For 14 years, the Zionist enemy has imposed a continuous siege on more than two million Palestinians in Gaza, which has led to the deterioration of their living and health conditions.
