UN envoy for Yemen to arrive in Sanaa on Saturday

SANAA, May 4 (YPA) – Martin Griffith, the UN Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen will arrive in the capital Sanaa on Saturday to continue efforts to find a political settlement, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources said that Griffith arrived in Muscat, capital of Oman, on Thursday to meet with the spokesman of the negotiating delegation of Ansar Allah Muhammad Abdel Salam, as part of his second tour to revive the peace talks.

The UN envoy is seeking to develop a peace map to be presented to the UN Security Council in less than two months, as he pledged during his briefing to the Security Council in mid-April.
