Yemen army takes control of Kovel camp, progresses towards Marib
MARIB, March 27 (YPA) – Yemen army fought fierce battles during the night of Thursday-Friday, during which they were able to achieve important military achievements in several areas of Serwah front in Marib province, officials told Yemen Press Agency.
The officials pointed out that the army was able to take full control of Kovel camp, south of Serwah district, including tanks’ fortifications, after hours of defending a large advance carried out by the coalition forces towards Tibb al-Shayef in Serwah.
The officials said that the army has also managed to purify strategic areas in Serwah, the most prominent of which is the excuse Tabab and the Al-Dushush areas east of Jabal Al-Mashhaj, which are areas overlooking the city of Marib.
The officials revealed that dozens of coalition forces killed and wounded in the fighting in Kovel camp most notably the killing of the two leaders.
The officials confirmed that the Yemeni army forces have become close to the city of Marib.
On March 10, Yemeni army forces imposed control over 80% of the Kovel camp in Serwah of Marib.
