Several buildings, spaces of Awqaf in capital Sanaa recovered

SANAA, Feb. 9 (YPA) – General Director of Awqaf and Guidance in the Capital Sanaa Abdullah Amer on Saturday said that 14 rulings had been issued in favor of the Awqaf office in the Capital.

In a statement to Yemen Press Agency, Amer said that the Awqaf office in the capital managed to recover many of the endowment buildings, including “Sam Hotel” and the so-called “Iranian Hospital”, in addition to an area of 150 libnas (about 6,666 square meters) belonging to the endowment in the Industrial Complex area.

Amer indicated that the Awqaf office issued 273 contracts, with revenues exceeding 1 billion and 114 million riyals, during the past year 2019.

He added that the contracts for the lease of the recommended endowments land amounted to 16 contracts, via hand fees, permits, assignments and annual rents, for an amount of 96,253,000 riyals in districts of the capital Sanaa.
