Southern Transitional Council threatens al-Maiseri with liquidation

ADEN, Jan. 24 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council has threatened Minister of Interior in Hadi’s government, Ahmed al-Maiseri, with liquidation against the background of his statements, in which he attacked the UAE.

The transitional council’s deputy head Hani bin Burik said in a tweet on “Twitter” that al-Maiseri’s statements against the transitional council regime endangered him, but he added that the council is committed to “Riyadh agreement.”

Bin Burik explained that the transitional council’s militias have worked to secure the exit of al-Maiseri from Aden twice, but they would not repeat this in the future.

Al-Maisieri had accused the transitional council of foiling the so-called “Riyadh agreement”, indicating that Hadi’s government would not be patient for long with the disruption of the agreement terms, and that Hadi’s forces are able to enter Aden and end the UAE project.

Observers believe that bin Burik’s remarks are an indication of the transitional council’s intention to liquidate the opponents of its policy.
