Shura Council presidium discusses plans, activities for 2020

SANAA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – The Shura Council’s presidium held a meeting Wednesday with the committees on health and population, education, administrative reform, insurance and human development, environment and tourism.

The meeting, chaired by the Council’s Speaker Mohammed al-Aidarous, stressed that the four committees should expedite the completion of their evaluation reports on their activities during 2019, based on the tasks carried out by the committees in accordance with their annual plans.

The meeting approved of the four committees’ raising their draft working plans for the year 2020, which would include topics enhancing the steadfastness of the home front in confronting the aggression schemes.

At the meeting, al-Aidarous praised the committees’ efforts and their activity in reviewing the various issues, events and developments according to their tasks and competencies during the past period.

He affirmed that the Council’s committees would give priority in their future plans and activities to support the State’s efforts in advancing the political track and negotiating with the various parties in order to stop the aggression and preserve Yemen’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and so as to lead to achieve a comprehensive political solution that meets the Yemeni people aspirations.
