Head of Presidential Office inaugurates public service of Zakat Authority

SANAA, Nov. 17 (YPA) – Head of the Presidential Office Ahmed Hamid along with Head of Zakat Authority Shamsan Abu Nashtan on Sunday launched the work in the public service department of the Authority and a free toll (80000110) to receive complaints.

At the inauguration, Hamid noted to the success achieved by the Zakat Authority in providing services in more than one direction during the past period, although it was established before less than a year.

Hamid called for determining zakat imposed on the payers before collecting it so that there is no bargaining on the amount of legitimately-imposed zakat.

He affirmed that the fight against corruption requires concerted efforts to address the legacy of the past regime that legislated for corruption that has become a culture at institutions.
