SANAA, Nov. 15 (YPA) – Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC)’s spokesman Amin al-Shabati on Friday said the United Nations’ lenience with Saudi-led coalition is a major reason for the continued detention of oil derivatives ships.
This came during a vigil organized by employees of the company and its unions and bodies after Friday prayers in front of the United Nations Office in Sanaa.
“The aggression coalition has released a number of oil ships carrying 19,000 tons of gasoline and 77,000 tons of diesel and still holding five oil ships carrying 88,000 tons of gasoline and 57,000 tons of diesel,” al-Shabati said.
Al-Shabati condemned the UN lenient position with the aggression coalition countries, calling on it to pressure the aggression countries and their mercenaries to release oil ships and ensure not be detained in future.
The participants in the vigil issued a statement, in which they called for the United Nations to pressure for re-opening Sanaa International Airport for flights, lifting the ban on the port of Ras Issa and neutralizing the economy from targeting.
