SPC member congratulates “Yemen, Qatar and Saudi Arabia” for Asian finals

SANAA, Nov.11 (YPA) Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi congratulated Yemeni youth soccer team on their qualification for the AFC U-19 Finals.

“Our young people in the Republic of Yemen are achieving successes in every field,” Mohammed al-Houthi said in a tweet at midnight on Sunday, referring to the fields of education, work and fighting also on the frontlines against the coalition.

He congratulated Yemen’s youth soccer team for 1-1 draw against Qatar on Sunday and took the second place in Group B of the Asian Cup qualifiers.

“We congratulate our national youth team for qualifying for the AFC Youth Cup finals, and we urge the players to win the cup,” he said.

He also congratulated Qatar and Saudi Arabia on qualifying, which was seen as a message without political significance.

“We also congratulate Qatar and Saudi Arabia and other Arab and Asian qualified teams,” he said.

In the eyes of others, they saw the congratulations of the member of the Political Council of Qatar and Saudi Arabia to qualify for the Asian Cup, a sign that “Yemen does not confuse political rivalry with political regimes and relations with the Arab peoples.”
