President al-Mashat meets GPC chairman

SANAA, Oct. 26 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat met on Saturday with the chairman General People’s Congress (GPC) Sadeq Ameen Abu Rass.

At the meeting, the officials discussed a number of issues that concern releasing of some of those accused of bombing the presidential palace.

Al-Mashat expressed his dissatisfaction illegal step to free the defendants, directing to take legal procedures against those involved in releasing the defendants.

Mr. President added, “What matters to us is the country’s interest, and we are all in one ship to confront of the US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition, which attacked everything in Yemen.”

For his part, the chairman of the GPC stressed that the interest of Yemen is above anything else, indicating to the need to maintain the internal unity in deterring the aggression and its siege.
