Saudi security forces arrest sheikh of “Otaiba Tribe”

SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Saudi security forces arrested the sheikh of the Otaiba tribe in the kingdom for criticizing the Entertainment General Authority and what it did in the Kingdom.

The “Prisoners of Conscience” Twitter account stated that Saudi security raided the home of Prince Faisal bin Sultan bin Jahjah bin Humaid and arrested him.

Prince Faisal bin Sultan bin Jahjah bin Humaid is the sheikh of the kingdom’s well-known Otaiba tribe.

He criticized the Entertainment Authority and what is has brought of destruction to the land of the Two Holy Mosques.

“We used to say, “Raise your head, you’re a Saudi, and today we’re proud of the entertainment,” he said sarcastically.

The account posted a picture of Prince Faisal’s tweets, although there are others praising the rulers, but criticism of entertainment concerts was rejected during the reign of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Saudi Saudi whistleblower, Mujtahidd  said: “In order to distract the Tribe of Otaiba from the arrest of their sheikh, he directed the electronic flies to stir up strife within the tribe, claiming that he was not recognized as a sheikh of the tribe.

“Unfortunately, those angry with his arrest fell into the trap and reacted to the fly-throwing and were busy with the more important issue.”

The spread of the news sparked a case of controversy among activists in Saudi Arabia, wondering whether the criticism of the debauchery has become one of the majors that deserves arrest.
