ADEN, April 22 (YPA) – A prison administration loyal to the UAE occupation forces refused to release detainees of Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, according to local sources.
The administration of Bear Ahmed prison strongly rejects the release of more than 70 detainees, mostly of Islah Party’s militias, who are living in an inhumane situation and many of them are still on hunger strike and subjected to the most severe forms of physical and psychological torture.
The prison administration’s rejection is seen as a challenge and disregard for the judicial authorities’ rulings and for orders issued by the government of resigned Hadi and human rights.
More than 13,000 citizens are being held and forcibly disappeared in the UAE occupation forces’ prisons, which have exceeded 17 prisons and detention centers, according to humanitarian and human rights organizations in the southern provinces.
