SANAA, Oct. 2 (YPA) – The International Organization for Migration (IOM) announced on Wednesday the evacuation of 143 Somali refugees from Yemen within the framework of the voluntary repatriation program.
In a tweet on its Twitter account, the organization said it had safely evacuated 143 refugees (41 men, 46 women and 56 children) to their home country of Somalia after leaving the port of Aden on Monday.
IOM has postponed the voluntary evacuation of thousands of Ethiopian migrants and Somali refugees in Yemen since the start of the war in 2015, through the ports of Hodeidah and Aden.
