30+ civilians killed in aerial bombardment in Afghanistan
SANAA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – More than 30 people were killed and dozens wounded in air strikes in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province, Afghan media reported on Thursday.
According to an “Afghan News” channel, hundreds of citizens were killed and wounded during the aerial bombardment when they were working in the cultivation of land.
The channel did not say who carried out the aerial bombardment, while NATO “often” admitted the fall of dozens of civilians with air strikes.
The Afghan army and security forces began weeks ago large-scale operations in the districts of the province of Balkh with the aim of eliminating the pockets and gatherings of armed opposition groups, which mostly belong to the “Taliban”.
Afghanistan suffers frequent armed clashes and fierce battles between internal security forces backed by US and other NATO forces, “NATO” on the one hand, and the Taliban, which controls large areas of the country.
