Senior pro-UAE leader released in Shabwah

SHABWAH, Sept. 5 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed forces ” Hadi’s government forces” on Wednesday released a senior leader belonging to the Southern Transitional Council funded by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) occupation forces, after he was arrested in Ataq axis in southeastern Yemen’s Shabwah province, local source reported.

According to the sources, the release of the leader of the security belt militias, Mazen al-Junaidi, came after security and tribal mediation led by the director of security of Abyan province loyal to “Hadi” Abu Mashal al-Kazmi, who arrived in Ataq, the capital of Shabwa for this.

The sources explained that the leader of the STC’s militias “Junaidi” will be among his family members in the coming hours, and the sources did not refer to the conditions and guarantees under which al-Junaidi was released.

Al-Junaidi was captured by Hadi’s forces as he led the Southern Transitional Council’s Militias as they tried to take control of The City of Ataq in mid-August.
